Cars of Palestine was organized in 1986 in Palestine, Texas, located in beautiful East Texas, to provide an opportunity for local car enthusiasts to meet, socialize and maintain the spirit of good fellowship. We encourage the use of these special interest autos in activities which promote our community; however car ownership is not a requirement for membership.
On a community service level, Cars of Palestine awards scholarships to deserving high school seniors within Anderson County. We now offer sustaining scholarships to past recipients who continue their education. It has been a pleasure to sponsor one of our members, Marian Raney in her efforts to raise monies for Relay for Life. Cars of Palestine sponsors toy and food drives annually as well, with the “Fill the convertible” program held in Palestine. In October we will fill the convertible with food and in November with toys. All items collected will benefit local Churches and Food banks in town. We are in the process of raising funds for “Potties in the Park” in which we will build public restroom facilities at Davey Dogwood Park.
Cars of Palestine annually hosts the “Cars of Palestine People’s Choice Car Show”, held in conjunction with the opening weekend of Palestine's Annual Dogwood Trails festival. This is a premier state wide show that many attracts 150 to 200 auto enthusiasts from across the state each year often spending the weekend in Palestine.

Members of the Cars of Palestine are an enthusiastic group, willing to take their special autos to activities where they can provide joy and fun to the citizens in the community. We have taken our autos to the Sterling House in Palestine for the residents to see and recall their special memories. We parked our autos at the Texas State Railroad Park for a special treat to those riding the rails. And we participated in parades locally. As proud as we are of our special autos, it is hard to say who gets more pleasure from our activities -
